Introduction to our Club
At Knightwood BMX Club, we are passionate about BMX racing and the legacy it will have.  Located in Chandlers Ford, Eastleigh (SO53 4SJ) we are the South's newest BMX track!
With help from Test Valley Borough Council, Knightwood Leisure Centre (Valley Leisure), parents and DC Cycles, we are incredibly lucky to have a purpose built £100,000 track for our home and to encourage more riders into the sport of BMX Racing!
With a 100 member strong club (as of today) and still growing, we run coaching sessions every Saturday morning (10am to 1pm) and cater for all ages and abilities. We currently have two fully insured, licensed and qualified coaches working alongside a proactive committee headed up by an ex European BMX Champion.
Our coaches are a mix of qualified British Cycling coaches from a variety of backgrounds.  A number of them competed in the 80s and 90s at European and World level.  We are also proud to have support from DC Cycles.
Our goals are very simple
1. To provide a new generation of riders the resources to practice and compete at top level.
2. To provide coaching and purpose designed sessions to actively increase race performance.
3. To promote not just racing but cycling within the local community.
4. To have a traffic free and easy going environment with a community feel and presence.
5. Continuing support and improvement of the track and surrounding area.

Coaching & Gate Pactice

Health & Fitness

Here at Knightwood BMX, we aim to make the sport of BMX fun and exciting.  Our riders are currently competing in a number of events, both regionally and nationally (DC Cycles / ASDA sponsored riders) and as part of their overall goals of reaching their maximum potential, it is essential to integrate a healthy lifestyle to ensure they achieve maximum results out on the track - what you put into your body can have a big effect out on the track!!

We have a number of health & fitness professionals who advise us on suitably tailored exercise techniques to help our riders improve their speed and performance.
